Description

The Senior Manager, Membership Outreach and Engagement is responsible for the successful outreach to and engagement of Hadassah members (primarily 50+) and member prospects across the United States.   The Senior Manager, Membership Outreach and Engagement works collaboratively to expand member outreach and engagement across the organization and apply best practices in the field.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with Membership Chair and Membership volunteer team to develop and execute plans for membership growth and engagement by identifying both short-term and long-term strategies and initiatives.
  • Serve as a membership liaison between national membership department and geographic area leadership staff.
  • Work closely with Grassroots Engagement Professionals, including attending monthly meetings to provide them with resources and support as needed for successful membership management and engagement on the local level
  • Communicate national priorities to local staff and membership volunteers
  • Develop a network of engaged members across the country using social media and digital platforms for groups to inspire each other and exchange best practices.
  • Ensure department's planning/operations to support the organization's larger goals and objectives to establish partnerships and to broaden our base.
  • Represent National Membership Department at Regional and/or Local meetings if needed.
  • Other duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Education, Experience

  • BA or equivalent plus 5-8 years management experience
  • Experience in community organizing and other relationship and community building initiatives.
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Salesforce and Sharepoint preferred
  • Experience with social media and digital marketing
  • Experience developing and creating demographic and membership reports
  • Experience working in a volunteer organization a plus

  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities and follow-through.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong emphasis on building and sustaining collaborative relationships at all organizational levels both at National and throughout the country.
  • Ability to present clear assessments and recommendations to leadership.
  • Out of the box, innovative strategic thinker constantly apprised of successful membership engagement strategies in multiple spheres (non-profit particularly)
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Some travel required
  • Ability to work some evenings and occasional Sundays
