Organization: Prince’s Trust USA
Title: Philanthropy & Events Manager
Location: New York
Operating Model:
Prince’s Trust USA is part of The Prince’s Trust Group of charities. These include The Prince’s Trust in the UK, Prince’s Trust International, Prince’s Trust Canada, Prince’s Trust Australia and Prince’s Trust New Zealand. All six charities were established by His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales, with the shared mission of transforming lives and building sustainable communities.
The purpose of Prince’s Trust USA is to raise funds in the United States to support the charitable work of The Prince’s Trust group of charities across the world and to support relevant delivery partners in the United States.
The Prince’s Trust Group Operations team (based in London) provides support and advice to Prince’s Trust America on a range of issues including events, fundraising, budget and risk management. This helpfully adds to the in-house capacity of Prince’s Trust America and enables the sharing of experience and expertise across the Prince’s Trust network.
Staff team:
Currently, the start-up staff team comprises the CEO, & Director of Philanthropy, we are also recruiting for a Head of Operations. We are supported by The Prince’s Trust Group, which provides essential capacity, experience, and expertise. In due course, we expect the US-based staff team to grow in line with the development of Prince’s Trust USA.
Fundraising
- Steward and manage a portfolio of patrons of donors with a yearly fundraising goal of $100,000
- Support delivery of public-facing events
- Manage development operations including and continual upgrades to Salesforce CRM system
- Create and distribute donor agreements/acknowledgments and receipts
- Write donor bios and research/write ethics reports
- Help create and manage a young professional group/Board
- Support fundraising colleagues by writing and completing grant applications
- Coordinate small fund-raising events or campaigns (NYC Marathon, Palace to Palace bike ride, Trade Days)
- Maintain and manage a communication and stewardship plan to patron and prospects
Event Support
- Working with Event Director
- Develop event calendar and execute all programming, including but not limited to, Prince’s Trust Week in London, US based receptions or dinners
- Create and coordinate event communications
- Support management of budgets, guest, speakers, performances, guest lists, etc.
External Communications
- Write yearly donor reports to USA patrons
- Create four yearly newsletters (with help from PTUSA graphic designer) through Mailchimp
- Write digital holiday emails and coordinate end-of-year holiday physical mailing
- Maintain Mailchimp audience records
- Help with event invitations
- Maintain PTUSA website with regularly updates
- Coordinate PTUSA social media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram)
- Oversee, design, and edit correspondence, social media, newsletters, and brochures to various audiences for fundraising and general updates on PT Activities, etc.
- Annual report: working with the head of operations, graphic designer and fundraising team support the creation of annual report
- Work with PT Group on PTUSA section in Group Annual Report
- Maintain PTUSA website with regularly updates
- Coordinate PTUSA social media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Knowledgeable of CRM databases
- Salesforce and/or Razors Edge is a plus

- Must be open to occasional travel, weekends, and evenings
Additional Responsibilities

- Attend and take minutes at Board meetings (5 annually)
- Draft monthly CEO report
Position is in Manhattan, NY with the ability to provide flexibility as it relates to reporting to the office.
