About GSI
The Global Snakebite Initiative USA Foundation (GSI) builds on the legacy of decades of public health advocacy, engagement and hands-on interventions that in the last 15 years have transformed the landscape for millions of snakebite victims around the world, taking this once forgotten disease of the poor to global prominence by elevating it to the World Health Organization's category A list of highest priority Neglected Tropical Diseases.
Today, GSI continues to be a voice for snakebite victims, and a driver of programs and projects aimed squarely at improving prevention, medical treatment and recovery. We support projects that directly benefit communities where men, women and children are vulnerable to snake bites, and to supporting organizations on the ground who can directly intervene, support, and advocate for victims.
