REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

PROPOSAL DUE DATE: TUESDAY, JULY 19 AT 5PM

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Campaign Legal Center (CLC) is seeking consulting services to advise CLC’s President on the appropriate assignment of responsibilities and team structure to assist with Board of Trustee relations and related work. CLC is accepting proposals in response to this Request for Proposal (RFP) to find a qualified source to provide these services.

 

PROJECT DELIVERABLES

  • Conduct an in-take meeting with President.
  • Conduct meetings with other stakeholders (relevant board members, Senior Vice President of Operations and Finance, Vice President for Development, current consultant temporarily handling Board Relations, Executive scheduler, and any others identified as necessary).
  • Review any consultant requested background materials (e.g., organization chart, job descriptions, etc).
  • Provide a written report with recommended staffing structures, including proposed title, years of experience, job description, and level. If providing only one recommended structure, explain the alternative proposals considered and why rejected.
  • Conduct a meeting with the President to walk-through the recommendations.

 

SCOPE OF WORK

The scope of work includes assessing the volume and complexity of the support the President needs to effectively manage Board relations and Board engagement. Based on the assessment of the need, recommend staffing structures that are suitable to meet the President’s stated needs, as well as CLC’s culture, staffing size, and budget.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

Consistent with CLC's DEI goals, CLC encourages obtaining bids from small businesses, service-disabled veterans, minority-owned firms and woman-owned businesses to the fullest extent practicable.

The following evaluation criteria will be used:

  • Price
  • Relevant experience
  • Availability services within the required delivery time
  • Bidder's previous record of performance and services
  • Ability of bidder to render satisfactory service
  • Financial stability of the vendor
  • Payment Terms
  • Ability to provide work product samples

 

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • Description of the firm that includes a general overview, names and credentials of the project team, and number of full-time employees.
  • Description of the firm’s relevant past performance, including demonstrated
  • experience advising non-profit organizations on management and personnel issues, with preference given to firms with experience working on Boards of Directors matters.
  • Description of proposed approach to the scope of work
  • Project timeline
  • Project budget
  • Project Lead contact information and biography

CLC reserves the right to select no proposals should no bidder submit a proposal that meets the organization’s needs.
