STANDARD HOURS:  40 hours per week. Typical hours Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm; Flexibility required to include other evening and/or weekend hours, as necessary.

SALARY RANGE: $67,984 - $75,538 per year
*Salaries/Wages for all finalists (internal and external) will be based upon education, experiences, current wages, and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY

This role provides standardized and customized technology training, coaching, and consulting for all technology systems, applications, and processes that impact staff, leaders, and college partners. To do this effectively, this person will collaborate with Information and Instructional Technology (IIT), Learning Effectiveness and Early College (LEEC), Corporate Training (CTED) and the Business Assistance Center (BAC). A key function of this position is also the administration of our Workday Learning Management System (LMS).

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Assess technology training needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, or consultation with college stakeholders.
  • Design, plan, organize and document curriculum for technology training. Determine appropriate delivery mode, i.e. in-person, self-paced, video, web conference, etc. to optimize training effectiveness.
  • Consult, coach, and train on how to curate and maintain electronic learning (eLearning).
  • Assess learner and business needs and recommend developmental action plan and alternative solutions.
  • Develop and/or facilitate the development of training manuals, course materials and virtual content such as handouts, audio, video and eLearning materials.
  • Research best practice technology and software. Identify, evaluate, and recommend new technologies. Analyze technology requests for cost benefit and effectiveness of proposed solutions.
  • Support technology and educational offerings of products and services though appropriate communication and advertising of offerings.
  • Serve as the liaison between Talent Strategy and Information and Instructional Technology (IIT) and Learning Effectiveness and Early College (LEEC) to assure smooth transition between introduction of new or revised systems/technology and learner's ability to utilize system/technology.
  • Design, support and maintain the Workday Learning Management System including functionality, appearance, settings, and needed reporting for the college, collaborating with HRIS as needed.
  • Track and test product enhancements, upcoming feature releases, upgrades and known issues, to keep the LMS current.
  • Serve as the Talent Strategy representative to the Information and Instructional Technology (IIT) Change Advisory Board.
  • Writes and maintains procedures and policies and manages user permissions and system security roles. systems/networks.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Talent Strategy on the needs and opportunities for the expansion of the Learning Management System (LMS) within the organization.
  • Acts as an internal consultant by analyzing data and recommending solutions to utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver, track training and measure performance to meet organizational objectives.
  • Consult with internal departments to develop and communicate change management standards, policies, and procedures for the Learning Management System (LMS). Creates and manages user structures including the creation of user groups and learning cohorts based on job families, functional roles, and other organization criteria.
  • Maintains the learning asset library structure and content.
  • Develops and updates standardized tools and reporting for ongoing access to learning information; generates standard and custom reports.
  • Analyzes reporting data and recommends strategic direction to HR, technical managers, or others, as appropriate.
  • Creates and manages course structure, campaigns, and programs based on the colleges need and specifications.
  • Manage relationships with third party vendors (i.e. LinkedIn Learning, Skillsoft and Franklin Covey) and facilitate the successful linkage of third-party training assets.
  • Perform diagnostics, resolve problems, escalate problems to vendors as required, work with other group members, and take appropriate actions to assure appropriate and prompt solutions to learning technology system related problems.
  • Partner with Information and Instructional Technology (IIT), Learning Effectiveness & Early College (LEEC), Corporate Conference Center (CTED), and the Business Assistance Center (BAC) to provide technical support and service to end users.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor's Degree

 Experience: Four years related work experience. Previous experience in the design and creation of electronic learning materials strongly desired.

Computer Skills

Microsoft Office Suite, learning management systems, and data base management systems.  Knowledge of personal computers is required.  Knowledge of electronic learning design and platforms is preferred.

 Certificates & Licenses

Microsoft Office Certification preferred.

 Other Requirements

Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the District’s standard insurance policy terms.
