Description

As a Support and Activities Supervisor, you will work with children, youth, adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families by providing opportunities for participants to engage in fun activities that may serve various purposes, such as social connection, recreation, a break for caregivers, and community building for families. This is a great opportunity to use your creative energy to provide participants with a fun and positive experience!

The Support and Activities Supervisor will:

  • Be a primary contact for individuals seeking/receiving respite services or other social activities
  • Plan and coordinate weekly group respite sessions and manage the voucher respite program
  • Plan and coordinate additional social events throughout the year for individuals and families
  • Be responsible for completing clinical and program documentation
  • Supervise and train part-time direct care staff, including engaging in all aspects of the recruitment, and hiring process
  • Meet weekly with your supervisor, and attend weekly team meetings
  • Participate in other opportunities within the department and agency

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Special Education, Psychology, or other related field from an accredited university or college,
  • Experience supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities, autism, family systems
  • QIDP credentials a plus
  • Reliable transportation/ability to get to work locations
  • Ability to work on-site/in-person at least 60% of the time, 40% remote work
  • Ability to work most Sunday’s required, ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings
