Description

The coordinator for student accounts is responsible for maintaining all student financial records, processing student receivables, managing student payment plans, and performing other such duties related to student accounts. He/she reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

 

  • Entering and maintaining all student accounts information in the Seminary’s information system.
  • managing all student receivables, overseeing student billing during the 6 yearly registration periods and arranging and managing student payment plans.
  • Performing weekly reconciliation of records using the Seminary’s general ledger account.
  • Communicating regularly with students to answer their questions, handle student complaints, and ensure timely collection of student payments.
  • Processing invoices, receipts, and VA billings.
  • Updating student’s accounts upon disbursement or return of federal funds.
  • Processing Student Loan Refunds.
  • Communicating with Director of Financial Aid and Registrar to ensure that student records are properly updated and adjusted in a timely fashion.
  • Preparing monthly reports and supporting schedules related to all aspects of student accounts receivable.
  • Posting scholarships and work study for students.
  • File student tax forms to the IRS annually.
  • 1098-T Tax Forms to Students annually.
  • Sending Monthly Student Statements.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

 

  • B.A. or B.S. degree, preferably with courses or certification in accounting
  • 3 years experience in accounts receivable or comparable field.
  • experience with Campus Anyware or Blackbaud preferred.
  • proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
  • ability to work well with others in a culturally diverse context
  • ability to interact with students and others in the Seminary’s community
  • excellent verbal and written communications skills.
