Role Overview: 
The Integrative Support Specialist's primary focus is child centered; to deliver services that meet the children’s individual and group treatment needs. The Behavior Specialist works with several departments and program areas in order to assist children who exhibit academic, social, emotional, and/or behavioral challenges. This role is a crucial part of the Green Chimneys community, offering their expertise in the realm of crisis intervention with an emphasis on prevention.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: responding to behavioral crisis situations, utilizing proper Therapeutic Crisis Intervention techniques, intervening directly when corrective action is necessary, counseling children in crisis and/or to avoid crisis, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children attending the program, providing individual and group counseling as necessary, providing direct supervision of children as necessary, assisting as necessary in implementing student ICSP and/or other behavioral plans, participating in agency programs/initiatives, notifying agency personnel regarding all emergencies, documenting children’s behavior and reporting any incidents, and other duties as assigned. What you bring to Green Chimneys: Behavior Specialist I: Bachelor's Degree required OR candidate with a HS Diploma and a minimum of 4 years' related work experience at an hourly rate of $22.68.

Behavior Specialist II: Master's Degree required OR an Associates and a minimum of 4 years' related work experience or a HS Diploma with a minimum of 7 years' related work experience at an hourly rate of $24.28.
