STANDARD HOURS: Typical hours Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Flexibility required to include other evening and/or weekend hours as necessary.
MINIMUM STARTING WAGE*: $24.81/hour
*Current benefit eligible employees will be placed within the pay range based on their current rate/range.

POSITION SUMMARY
Maintain financial entries, records, reports, and general ledgers for programs funded by grants. Prepare and analyze revenues, expenditures, budget entries, and perform billings and collections for grant related activity. Responsible for having a working knowledge of federal and state guidelines and regulations relating to grants.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Serve as a financial resource for college departments by providing financial and technical support and consultation on grant related activities.
- Prepare, analyze, and/or review financial transactions and financial schedules for grants (e.g., journal and budget entries, budgets, budget modifications, etc.).
- Create, analyze, and report financial spending analysis and related projections for grants.
- Perform billing and accounts receivable follow-up for assigned grants.
- Review and monitor individual grants and transactions for compliance with private, local, state, and federal fund requirements.
- Understand and utilize accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America; standards outlined in the Wisconsin Technical College System Financial & Administrative Manual; state statutes; and/or grant guidelines to govern transactions and processes.
- Assist with financial grant reports and requests for granting authorities and external audits as needed.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Bachelor’s degree in related area preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three years general accounting experience. Experience in accounting for grants preferred.
**An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
Computer Skills
Advanced spreadsheet skills, working knowledge of computerized accounting and ERP systems and word processing.
Other Requirements
Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the District’s standard insurance policy.
