Job posting:  Be the Hero as a Part-Time Fundraising Consultant!

The Ida Lee Project is seeking an experienced consultant to develop a fundraising plan that will result in flexible, core funding for the Project. Up to now, the project has relied upon ad hoc donations mobilized through personal networks. As part of sustainability planning, the Board is now seeking to identify a fundraising consultant to help develop a fundraising plan that can be implemented by the Board and the Executive Director.

As you would be leading our first foray into a fundraising strategy and plan, you should be someone who is willing to support our organizational learning as we work to develop this new competency in our organization.

 

Responsibilities

  • Researching potential sponsors, platforms and networks through which to mobilize funding.
  • Writing funding proposals and sending these to potential sponsors.
  • Developing a system for maintaining records of sponsors.
  • Creating marketing and promotional materials.
  • Organizing campaigns that will lead to donations.

 

Deliverables

  • A fully developed fundraising plan that presents fundraising goals and the strategies to reach them. It should include key dates, campaigns, events, and fundraising activities, along with goals and roles for fundraisers.
  • Marketing materials, any related campaign materials, stakeholder lists, etc. needed for implementation.

Timeline

  • This consultancy should take not more than 3 months to complete.

 

Budget

  • $10,000 - $20,000

Benefits:

You will see the "boots on the ground" thrilling day to day successes and challenges of the doctors and staff helping the women of the Congo. Cases are documented w/ exciting photographic and verbal updates in English and French.

You can appreciate, first hand, how and where your fundraising efforts are used, e.g. directly to serve the health care needs of these women. It is stirring and very fulfilling.
