Engagement Director

Algalita Marine Research and Education seeks an Engagement Director to lead community outreach for our environmental education program, Wayfinder Society.

Wayfinder Society for Environmental Education is a dynamic, free online platform that includes environmental education lessons, activities, and toolkits for interactive classroom learning.  Our community of environmental educators aim to cultivate creativity and imagination in their students – helping them become engaged citizens that can impact their local community.

This role will work closely with the Education Director and Executive Director and will represent Wayfinder Society in all public outreach – online and off – with environmental educators in California and beyond.

The ideal candidate has experience building and growing communities online and/or facilitating events and workshops around shared interests. In addition, an interest in environmental education and teaching experience (formal or informal) is a plus.
