Our program provides instruction in digital technology and work- readiness skills that enable our students to work on teams and thrive in a professional environment, all while creating opportunities for empowerment, exploration, and accomplishment in a unique atmosphere. We're looking for that special someone who has a background in, or is highly interested in, video games, programming, software development – any of these, or all!

You’d also have the opportunity to organize new video game IPs, experiment with digital technologies and help port titles to various consoles and handheld platforms.

This role does all those things, but also conducts one-on-one and small group classroom technical instruction. The Digital Tech Instructor provides guidance and direction while engaging with students to find their own passions and build futures with technological, social and work-readiness skills.

Some of the technical skills we’re looking for:

• Proficient in working with Unreal Engine or Unity engines
• Proficient in visual scripting (Blueprinting, Bolt)
• Proficient in preparing applications for release on Steam, IOS App Store, and Google Play
• Proficient in task management software such as Jira
• Proficient in the use of SVN/Github
• Knowledgeable of C#, C++, or Python

Some of the responsibilities:

• Video game development such as new game features, UI, mapping, hardware integration, scripting, etc
• Provide guidance to students for portfolio content creation geared towards creative industry
• Provide instruction in video game development concepts, such as world building, level design, and scripting
• Lead students in developing prototypes or full-scale production assets
• Assess student’s progress and communicate progress to students, staff and family

Salary: Commensurate with Experience/Education
Reports To: Director of Operations in Austin
