Community Engagement Specialist – Digital

About the Opportunity:   

 King County Library System Foundation (KCLSF) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Community Engagement Specialist with direct experience in digital fundraising, non-profit communications, data management and analysis, and a passion for work that directly supports local communities.  

This position reports to the Executive Director of the KCLS Foundation as part of a collaborative team of advocacy, fundraising and grant-making professionals responsible for soliciting public and private funds which directly support and expand library programs that empower children and adults, and promote equity, throughout King County communities.  

As the Community Engagement Specialist at KCLS you will have an opportunity to help diverse communities prosper and grow by creating and executing outreach strategies to engage the community and cultivate donor gifts. In this position you will be responsible for developing and employing optimization tools to refine prospect and donor lists and drive integrated communications and fundraising campaigns. In particular, you will use an adaptive growth mindset to design and execute targeted direct mail and email campaigns to grow and retain our donor base and steward our donors at scale. You will help maintain the ongoing integrity and accuracy of the KCLS Foundation donor database through daily reconciliation of transactions and optimize its functionality to increase long-term return on investment of outreach efforts. You will also use a diversity, equity and inclusion lens throughout your work.  

You will also support the broader KCLS Foundation team through communications, data, and reports that support major planned giving, events, planning, and budgeting.
