Rationale

The Clinical Program Manager will report to the Managing Director of Program Innovation and is responsible for managing the operational and clinical components of EMMAUS’s Respite & Restorative Center services with the goal of providing oversight and continuity for boys and men seeking relief from the sex trade and the healing and equipment needed to live a life free from exploitation. Additionally, the Clinical Program Manager will assist the Managing Director of Programs in building and leading trauma-informed programs that promote healing. Education and Experience

  • Master's Degree in clinical, rehabilitative or social service field required from an accredited college or university; CADC, LPC or LSW designation or “hard knock” experience preferred.
  • Outreach, drop-in center, or clinical experience strongly desired. Evidence of nonprofit volunteer work, ideally with an organization comparable to EMMAUS, a plus
  • Pass DCFS requirements, including Health Clearance and Criminal Background Check as applicable

Responsibilities:

  • Must demonstrate a solid grasp of our organization’s philosophy, policies, and Culture of Faith & Family.
  • Create and maintain a therapeutic, safe space for healing, sharing and building community as they work towards collective and individual goals.
  • Foster a welcoming atmosphere conducive to respite and healing by leading a collaborative effort to plan program and activity-based opportunities of engagement.
  • Spearhead transition protocol for clients from advocacy and engagement services into EMMAUS’ clinical and transformation services.
  • Conduct clinical intake and mental health assessments.
  • Using CBT, DBT, Gestalt, expressive arts and other best practice therapies approved by the Managing Director of Programs or treating trauma its side effects, develop and maintain curriculum that will include a rotating schedule of therapeutic skill building groups.
  • Train and monitor staff and client adherence to A.C.T.S (integrated action plan) process. This includes coordinating formal action plan reviews.
  • Assess safety and provide crisis management and safety planning as needed. Management/Administrative:
  • Provide task supervision of program staff as assigned
  • Maintain documents and other records in compliance with organizational and external policies, procedures and applicable licensing standards.
  • Prepare and submit all required forms and reports in a timely manner.
  • Participate and facilitate regularly scheduled supervisory, clinical and program team meetings and trainings.
  • Connect boys and men to their community and available resources by maintaining collaterals and linkage agreements with relevant community organizations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned immediate supervisor or designee.

Work Requirements

  • Must live in or around Chicago with means of transportation enabling local outreach
  • Mixture of reasonable remote and in-office work, daytime and reasonable nighttime hours (as-needed)
    to appropriately lead and manage direct reports
  • Able to navigate exposure to elicit online content, with the support of protective processes and
    technology, to find and connect with victims
