Description

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the health and well-being of the organization. The purpose of this position is to provide sound, professional leadership to the entire organization and to be the primary liaison with the Board of Directors. The CEO is the ambassador and voice of the agency. This position supervises the management team and reports to the Board of Directors.

The CEO is responsible for maintaining a professional, compassionate staff to provide services to our clients and the general public. The CEO fosters healthy, beneficial relationships in the community, the state, and the region. The CEO is responsible for the agency's vision and its strategic planning for additional growth including monitoring the financial health of the organization with an awareness of the agency's obligations and future needs. The CEO is responsible for maintaining the goodwill of our brand and name within the communities we serve as well as those who fund and support the organization. The CEO has ultimate authority to bind the organization to contracts, hire and terminate employees, and develop policies to ensure safe, secure, and fair operations.

NOTE: The employee must abide by strict confidentiality requirements on and off duty. Note: This expectation extends beyond the employee's employment period with AID Upstate.

QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in human services, Business Administration, Accounting, or Public Administration with a minimum of 10 years of work experience in a non-profit setting where he/she held a leadership role, provided supervision to employees, participated in a budgeting process, and participated in the organization's governance. Grant writing experience is necessary. Above average communication skills including written and verbal. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and programs; work experience in a medical setting (private practice, clinic, hospital); above-average research skills; and at a minimum basic familiarity with Quickbooks® Accounting Systems. Experience with Microsoft, PayChex, DocuPhase, Symantec, Provide Enterprise, Epic, Fast Fund, and OnBoard is also preferred.
