Charge Nurse

RN/LPN Charge Nurse PRN  Two Openings

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing direct nursing care to approximately 17 resident Sisters in our Health Care Center.
• Ability to assess resident Sisters' physical, emotional, and psycho social needs, notifying the primary physician appropriately and following the prescribed interventions in accordance with the Kentucky Board of Nursing Licensure.
• Supervises and assists nursing assistants in the daily care of the resident Sisters.
• Accurately and timely administers medication and treatments as ordered.
• Must have excellent working knowledge of medications; their purpose, mechanism of action, side effects, and standard dosages.
• Maintains confidentiality of all resident information.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience and Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years nursing experience caring for adult and geriatric patients; Acute Care Nursing, Home Care, Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing.
• Must have an active RN or LPN Kentucky Nursing License to practice in the state of Kentucky with no restrictions.
• BLS certification required.
• Flexibility in scheduling. Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Ability to pass criminal background check and drug test.
