New Horizons is the largest mental health and addiction recovery provider on the Treasure Coast (and beyond), serving 15,000 children and adults annually through inpatient crisis services, 24-hour help line and mobile response team, and outpatient programs conveniently located across Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie counties. In addition, New Horizons assists 22,000 students in area schools, and we work closely with the courts, law enforcement, jails, and hospitals to help improve the health of individuals and the quality of life in our community.

As a CFO your responsibilities will include:

  • Present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements to executives and board of directors
  • Forecast return on investment (ROI) for current and future programs
  • Supervise the accounting department to ensure smooth day-to-day transactions
  • Inform key stakeholders of financial status
  • Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws
  • Coordinate audit activities
  • Represent the company to investors and public officials

Requirements and skills

  • Proven work experience as a CFO, in a nonprofit organization
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis, risk management and forecasting methods
  • Hands-on experience with accounting and financial management software
  • Familiarity with the way nonprofit organizations are structured
  • Genuine interest in our mission
  • BSc or MSc in Finance, Accounting or relevant field
