The Role:

The Business Operations Program Management Office (PMO) team is involved in various projects working across the organization to improve performance through analysis of existing business problems and development of future plans, with a focus on business processes, capabilities, and technological solutions.

The Business Operations Analyst is an operations professional who works as part of a team to design and implement business improvement projects, work collaboratively across a range of stakeholders, and deliver on competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The key responsibilities for the Business Operations Analyst are to help improve success of projects and business performance by supporting key enterprise-wide initiatives. The Analyst will be a member of project teams and may oversee Associates regarding their project tasks. The expectation is for the Analyst to have an active role in all aspects of the project, with key duties including: gathering requirements, field research, conducting analyses, stakeholder interviews, designing workflows, testing systems, synthesizing conclusions into recommendations, and documenting policies, procedures, training materials, and lessons learned.

This position is classified as part of the collective bargaining agreement (SEIU 1021).

What you will do:

  • Drive project success with effective project management support and consultation to project teams, including gathering requirements, data analysis, process analysis, system testing, and documentation
  • Act as a liaison to and resource for Tides’ staff on identifying and designing project management processes
  • Troubleshoot project challenges while ensuring high level customer service to staff supporting Philanthropic and Fiscally Sponsored Partners
  • Leverage data analytics to drive continual process improvement, and provide management with data insights
  • Support project teams to identify objectives, gather requirements, identify constraints, improve workflow processes and procedures
  • Create and update policies, training materials, documentation, and communication plans for projects and process improvements
  • Support process improvement projects, providing guidance to Associates to meet project deliverable goals and timelines

  • Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment as a team player, with tight deadlines
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and ability to quickly learn new software programs
  • Strong interest in social justice issues and/or Tides’ Vision and Mission

Education and Experience:

  • MBA or equivalent years of related work experience can be substituted for a college degree.
  • 3-4 years of operational management or management consulting
  • Lean Six Sigma experience or PMP a plus
  • Prior experience with Salesforce; NetSuite or CRM and ERP systems required
  • Prior experience as part of or leading project teams

Salary Range

Tides is committed to providing a competitive compensation package. The starting salary for this role ranges from $67,238 to $100,878 based on geographic location, years of experience, and ensuring pay equity within the organization.
