- Cultivate, sustain, and manage key organizational program partnerships; develop a strategy for program replication/expansion (including documentation, resource sharing, and collateral material development).
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for solidifying strategic partnerships with national, regional, and local nonprofits.
- Create executive alignment and commitment to key partnership goals and strategic initiatives by maintaining strong communication with key leadership contacts.
- Define and create messaging and collateral that clearly articulates the integrated solutions joint value proposition for our beneficiaries and for funders.
- Drive alliance and partnership engagement through proactive impact mapping sessions, and the build-out of a partnership engagement toolkit.
- Lead partner marketing and cross-promotion efforts working closely with Big Green’s marketing team.
- Assess the organization’s needs and identify prospective partners with innovative solutions that address those needs. Use existing empirically grounded frameworks to support these efforts (e.g. Centers for Disease Control’s Whole Child Model).
- Advise on potential new corporate and private sector partnership opportunities along with supporting the strategic rationale and business case justification.
- Perform ongoing management and assessment of each partnership, adjusting terms and modifying relationships as necessary.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the evaluation team to (1) identify major successes in national or local program partnerships and alliances and devise a strategy for scaling (as appropriate) and (2) address failures in partner delivery that require executive attention and action.
- Work with Big Green subject matter experts to identify, evaluate and prioritize new collaboration opportunities with each partner.
- Support and own special projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, public health, social work, or a related field (preferred).
- 7+ years of relevant, full-time employment experience within the nonprofit and/or public sectors.
- Demonstrated success in supporting or promoting programs that are youth-centered, nutrition, gardening and cooking focused, community health-focused, and grounded in social justice, and/or food systems.
- Experience developing proposals that articulate alternatives, value propositions, benefits, risks, and anticipated social impacts of multi-sector partnership strategies.
- Superior communication skills: written and verbal. Ability to represent Big Green to relevant organizations.
- Experience working with and serving a diverse audience(s).
- Entrepreneurial and resourceful, with the initiative to develop and implement plans to strengthen, sustain and replicate Big Green’s program partnership strategies.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, including the ability to manage projects simultaneously and to set priorities in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
- Exceptional critical thinking and reasoning skills with the ability to quickly and intuitively grasp how new products, complimentary program models, and earned income structures could impact Big Green from a strategic and financial perspective.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and experience collaborating with internal stakeholders across multiple cross-functional disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse set of internal and external constituencies.
