Direct Report: Program Director

Department: Girl’s Residential Program (Ages 12-17)

Hours: 40+ hours includes weekdays and weekends on a rotating schedule; work hours will vary to include occasional early morning, late evening, and weekend time; on-call rotation

Education nd Experience:

●      Master’s Degree or higher level of post-graduate education in a related field, such as counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or psychology

●      Active full professional Georgia license in good standing, such as Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

●      Minimum two years of experience working with adolescents in a residential setting, preferably under OPM/RBWO guidelines and procedures

●      Preferred experience includes providing services to youth who have been exposed to trauma, and in particular survivors of commercial sexual exploitation (CSEC)

Position Summary: The Clinician is responsible for supporting organizational goals to provide the highest level of trauma-informed mental health services. In addition to serving as a direct care provider with a participant case load, this role collaborates with team members across multidisciplinary focus areas to meet Maximum Watchful Oversight (MWO) program objectives and individual participant goals.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

●      Participant Engagement and Program Support

●      Deliver key services on-site, including individual, group and family therapy, and the completion of bio-psychosocial assessments and individualized treatment plans

●      Ensure program compliance, including the appropriate entry and maintenance of documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, agency systems, participant or program records, and agency monthly summaries

●      Engage in clinical and multi-disciplinary team meetings to address participant progress and barriers

●      Maintain on-call availability to address coverage emergencies and participant crises

●      Provide care to program participants without regard to race, gender, ethnicity, religious or spiritual beliefs

●      Provide culturally competent care for participants wondering about their sexuality or gender identity

●      Provide program expertise as a licensed clinician, including discipline-related oversight for clinical interns in collaboration with program leadership

●      Maintain knowledge of current best practices across Micah’s Promise programs, as well as trafficking and trauma, seeking professional growth in evidence-based practices through training and independent study

Qualifications:

●      Administrative, organizational, and computer skills including use of email and Microsoft Office suite of products

●      Documentation of references (at least two professional and one personal) that attest to the person’s capability of performing the duties of the position and to the person’s suitability of working with or around children and vulnerable populations

●      Training in TF-CBT, TBRI, and/or other established methods for trauma-informed care strongly preferred

Position Requirements:

●      Moderate local travel required throughout the Chattahoochee Judicial District as related to participant and program needs, as well as occasional travel for training

●      Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds and work for long periods at a computer

●      Satisfactory criminal history background check

●      Clean Motor Vehicle Record

Qualifications:

●      Administrative, organizational, and computer skills including use of email and GSuite, Microsoft  Office

○      Experience with Network Ninja or similar software preferred

●      Never have been shown by credible evidence (e.g., a court or jury, a department  investigation, or other reliable evidence) to have abused, neglected, sexually exploited, or  deprived a child or adult or to have subjected any person to serious injury as a result of  intentional or grossly serious injury as a result of intentional or grossly negligent  misconduct as evidenced by an oral or written statement to this effect obtained at the time  of application and evidence of having made efforts to obtain and evaluate references from  previous employers

●      Documentation of references (at least two professional and one personal) that attest to the  person’s capability of performing the duties of the position and to the person’s suitability of  working with or around children and vulnerable populations

●      Fully licensed as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW with an active unrestricted license in the state of  Georgia

●      Minimum five years of experience in the field of social services

●      Minimum three years of experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity

●      Experience providing services to youth or young adults, specifically those who are survivors of complex  trauma

●      Working knowledge of DFCS RBWO state licensure requirements for childcare programs preferred

●      Willingness to pursue and participate in continuing education to stay up to date on best practices and regulatory compliance requirements

Position Requirements:

●      Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds, work for long periods at a computer, and drive  company vehicle as needed

●      Ability to administer physical restraints as governed by program policies

●      Satisfactory criminal  background and  fingerprint records check, as required by law

●      Clean Motor Vehicle Record

●      Documentation from a licensed physician or other licensed healthcare professional of a health screening examination within 30 days of hiring sufficient in scope to identify  conditions that may place residents at risk of infection, injury or improper care

●      Completion of a biennial training program in  cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and a triennial training program in first aid which  have been offered by a certified or licensed healthcare professional within the first 30 days of employment

●      Participation in all required trainings required by licensure and organization
