An exciting opportunity to re-envision the future of Human Resources at Colorado State University (CSU) is now available! As the new Vice President of Human Resources, join other leaders in CSU’s Strategic Transformation and help to guide initiatives in Human Resources by providing executive-level leadership and guidance throughout the organization.

 

The Vice President of Human Resources provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organization and has responsibility for campus-wide strategies and initiatives that support all stages of the employee lifecycle. This leader reports to the University President and oversees a team focused on strategy and operational excellence that include the functional areas of: HR Business Partners, Employee and Labor Relations, Talent Development, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Classification and Compensation, HR Service Center, HR Information Systems, Payroll, and Records. This team has approximately 56 full-time employees who deliver services across our campus. This position will be responsible for strategy, planning, and implementation of several large-scale projects within the first several years. Additionally, this position works in close collaboration with other senior leaders and provides strategic leadership and partnership with the university’s distributed HR community.

This is an in-person role located in Fort Collins, CO with limited opportunities for telework. Relocation assistance is available.

Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 10 years of progressive leadership experience leading to a senior level HR management position with demonstrated increasing responsibilities in key areas such as compensation, benefits, workforce development, performance management, employee and labor relations, information systems, workforce planning, or change management.
- Experience developing comprehensive strategies designed to evolve, modernize, support, and/or advance human resources throughout an organization.
- Demonstrated experience consulting and advising senior-level executives on broad areas of human resources.
- Proven commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and experience with creation of policies or programs to support and retain a diverse workforce.
- Experience engaging and communicating with diverse stakeholder communities.

 

Salary Range: 240,000- 280,000 plus competitive benefits
