Are you someone who seeks thrill & adventure? Have you ever gone rock climbing or zip lined through the great outdoors? Then this may be the job for you!

Earn your stripes in the Air! Maybe you would love to help our guests face their fears while having the time of their life zipping across the wild. Use your abilities and encourage guests to have fun on our Treetop courses. If you enjoy adventure, then this could be the job for you!

Level I and Level II Ranger (18 years old & up)
Essential duties may include:

  • Helping guests prepare for their adventure
  • Fitting harnesses and helmets correctly and supervising the use of all safety equipment Conducting a pre-course safety orientation, (Ground School), for each group of guests Conducting complete inspections of harnesses and helmets
  • Assisting with grounds maintenance efforts including restocking water coolers and grounds cleanliness
  • Communicating assistance for guests throughout their time on course
  • Removing gear from guests after completion of their adventure
  • Responsible for gear maintenance including washing and sanitizing gear
  • Inspecting all lines and courses for safety
  • Maintaining and inspecting all rescue equipment
  • Reviewing safety issues and answering questions
  • Attaching guests to the zip line and performing essential safety checks before every course Enforcing Park rules and regulations
  • Assisting guests through the course or lowering them to the ground with provided rescue equipment.

Adventure Park duties include:

  • Expecting to be outdoors for several hours a day in various weather conditions including extreme temperatures, rain, snow and direct sun.
  • Communicating effectively with both adults and children in group and individual settings to establish a good rapport
  • Building excitement among guests throughout the experience
  • Demonstrating good safety habits by properly wearing safety gear and demonstrating proper techniques and behaviors
  • Handling stressful situations calmly and effectively
  • Handling multiple tasks quickly and be creative and motivated
  • Having great attention to detail to ensure safety and positive guest experience
  • Working comfortably at height

Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with holiday, exhibit, and events set up

Qualification Requirements

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree
  • Prior experience with outdoor recreation, athletics, educational roles, high ropes experience, interpretive naturalism, and/or rock climbing is a plus but not required
  • Certification in basic First Aid, CPR, and AED a plus but not required
  • Must pass and complete required site-specific safety training course

Physical Demands:

  • Have the physical capability to assist and accommodate guests of various sizes and physical ability throughout the grounds and courses
  • Be able to walk on a variety of on and off-road surfaces
  • Possess full range of overhead arm motions
  • Have full hand dexterity
  • Have strong upper body skills and be able to pull self and the potential addition of 270 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Schedule: Must be able to work 2-5 days per week including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Schedule varies and is dependent on weather and guest attendance; the schedule subject to change through the spring and summer seasons
