Teacher/Mentor

Position Summary: Direct hire opportunity with ELEVATE Jacksonville. The Elevate mission to build long-term, life-changing relationships with urban youth, equipping them to thrive and contribute to their community.

Responsibilities:

• Teaching: Teach and manage the classroom professionally in accordance with Elevate standards. Extensive training is provided.
• Bonding: Establish mentoring relationships with students to produce positive life-change in urban youth through afterschool and summer adventure activities.
• Modeling: Serve as a positive role model and leader for Elevate students. Bring a positive and uplifting energy to the classroom and a supportive role to mentor relationships.
• Administration: Training provided utilizing Microsoft suite and Salesforce CRM to maintain organization and efficiency for the administrative portion, ensuring records are accurate, consistently turned in on time, and contain minimal errors.

Essential Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, along with experience teaching, leading, or mentoring High School or Middle School students.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in youth service. Certifications or education in youth service preferred.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance.
