GENERAL SUMMARY:  Provides programmatic support to the Senior Director of Research Operations in the oversight and management of CARRA’s Registry and research portfolio and associated programs. The position maintains a high level of responsibility, exercising discretion and sound independent judgment. The ideal candidate will have health and research related non-profit experience, work well both independently and as part of a team, have great attention to detail, and proven problem-solving abilities. The position requires an understanding for budgeting, program planning and time management.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Minimum of 37.5 hours/week):

Assist CARRA’s Associate Director, Research Operations with the implementation of CARRA Registry and biobank related initiatives, studies, and related programs. This work includes but is not limited to:

    • Serving as the day-to-day staff contact for the Registry Associates and Informatics Programs
    • Coordinate the yearly Registry Retreat, Registry Operations Meetings, and the Registry Power Hour webinar series.
    • Manage writing, issuing, awarding, and tracking of RFAs related to Registry related positions as well as evaluations.
    • Develop reports and presentations highlighting progress and results.
    • Actively support the development of metrics and evaluation efforts tied to related committees, programs, and positions.
    • Assist with grant applications and other funded research projects that relate directly to the Registry’s biobank.
    • Support operational and project management needs for Registry sub-studies, which includes working collaboratively with the CARRA Registry's Coordinating Center, informatics team, biobank staff and CARRA operations staff.
    • Support development and production of yearly research-related summaries and reports to send to external funders.
    • Support the daily tracking of all CARRA’s Registry-related research contracts and grant obligations.

-Support vendor oversight and management

    • Serve as a liaison to the CARRA Registry Research and Oversight Committee

-Finalize agendas, draft minutes, and distribute.

-Follow up on all post meeting tasks.

    • Manage the day-to-day operations and implementation of CARRA’s consensus treatment plan (CTP) program under the leadership of the Associate Director, Research Operations.
    • Maintain and operationalize an integrated data and sample share review approach based on CARRA’s organizational structure.

-Support development and reporting of ongoing process and impact measures

-Serve as the day-to-day contact for investigator-initiated studies proposing to use Registry data and/or samples, including managing the review process, documentation needs, and reporting.

    • Serve as department contact with the CARRA Communications team and any other communications vendors in the development of internal and external communications. This includes but is not limited to:

-Drafting regular CARRA Registry newsletter content

-Reviewing DCRI communications to be sent to sites.

-Supporting the development of content for CARRA Registry Webpage

-Ensuring all Registry related communications and content to all external and internal audiences is accurate and up to date.

    • Draft and maintain relevant research policies and procedures.
    • Other duties as assigned.
