BEST is recruiting for a full-time Program Manager to manage the Safe Jobs Collaborative. The Safe Jobs Collaborative is a coalition of human service agencies and employers seeking to assist survivors of human trafficking as well as persons ‘at risk’ to gain job readiness training and employment. The position will primarily be responsible for coordinating participating human service agencies and participating employers to successfully hire and retain human trafficking survivors. The ideal candidate has experience working in program management, project management, is a strong communicator, and can help to run an innovative employment collaborative.

Duties may include (but are not limited to):

  • Supervise Community Engagement Manager and Client Services Coordinator
  • Communicate and collaborate across the SJC team to ensure smooth operation of program
  • Run all day-to-day operations of the program
  • Manage agreements and MOUs with employers and service agency partners
  • Provide ongoing support to participating employers and service agency partners
  • Manage select projects to ensure SJC’s success and sustainability
  • Collect and track data for all of SJC’s programming
  • Create standard operating procedures for the program
  • Coordinate training events for employers
  • Coordinate job readiness workshops with service agency partners
  • Coordinate the onboarding of new service provider agency partners and employers
  • Evaluate SJC’s technology tools and make recommendations for improvement
  • Maintain SJC’s Employer Library for our partners

Required Capacities and Skills:

  • Experience working in a human services agency that serves a marginalized population
  • Professional written and verbal communications that are appropriate for employers and human service agencies
  • Attention to detail

  • Able to motivate partners to fulfill tasks
  • Strong collaboration skills

  • Proactive and able to work independently without a high-level of management oversight
  • Ability to continue working in the organization for the long-term
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred in business, social work, or the humanities

Preferred Capacities and Skills:

  • Experience coordinating a human services employment program
  • Experience working in the private sector
  • Experience with data management in a platform such as Salesforce
  • Experience with project management in a platform such as Asana
  • Master’s in Social Work or MBA

Position Details

  • 40 hours/week, exempt
  • Salary range: $46-56K/year, depending on experience and skills
  • Benefits: Health insurance, paid vacation, sick leave, and retirement
  • Position is based in BEST’s Seattle office, with local travel required
