Description

United Citizens Foundation, a non profit, is a leading provider of mental health services amongst youth and families in Clark County, Nevada. We are rapidly expanding and looking for dedicated therapist who can be a part of our team.

Position Summary:
The Licensed Clinician works collaboratively with schools and communities to ensure that the mental health needs are met of the students, community members, and families. Reporting to the Clinical Supervisor, the Licensed Clinician is responsible for facilitating the mental health needs and providing advocacy and resource services for their patients. By collecting pertinent data and coordinating with other team members for appropriate intervention, the Licensed Clinician work cooperatively with the Clinical Team. The Licensed Clinician supports UCF’s vision in improving behavioral and mental health and end the stigma associated with it by providing compassionate care for the people and community we serve.

Description:
1. Responsible for comprehensive assessments of individuals referred or requesting services for mental health and/or related concerns in person and/or via telehealth.

2. Responsible for observing, describing, explaining, predicting and maintaining problem behaviors to provide information that will be used to design effective support plans, self-maintenance, and managing illness and wellness.

3. Responsible for providing individual, couple, family, and group treatment to address mental health and family issues.

4. Responsible for coordination of client treatment with referral sources, other agency treatment providers, and community services providers.

5. Completion of all required paperwork and correspondence.

6. Responsible for coordination of care within the agency and seamless service for client and family.

7. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
1. Minimum one (1) year related clinical/counseling experience.

2. Must be eligible for licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Nevada, as well as training/experience in evidence-based practice.

3. Knowledge about strength-based practices with the mental health populations.

4. Knowledge of and/or experience in working with people of diverse and differing backgrounds.

5. Ability to work with diverse client populations and ability to work with a variety of referral sources.

6. Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, with other agency personnel, referral sources, and community partners.

7. Ability to further agency mission by conducting self in a professional manner.

Desired Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in Human Services field (psychology, social work, or marriage and family therapy).

2. Experience working in academic, community, and home-based healthcare settings.

3. Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
