At present, we are adding staff to the Program, Institutional Advancement, Culinary, and Hospitality Departments.

GRANTS ADMINISTRATION MANAGER

POSITION TITLE:                   Grants Administration Manager

DEPARTMENT:                       Institutional Advancement

REPORTS TO:                        Chief Officer for Institutional Advancement

POSITION SPECIFICS:          Full-time, exempt, benefits eligible

SALARY:                                 $55,000 per year with excellent benefits.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Grants Administration Manager is a career-track position in the office of Institutional Advancement, reporting to the Chief Officer for Institutional Advancement. The Grants Administration Manager is responsible for coordinating administrative management, reporting, and closeout of grants. The GAM is also responsible for researching and identifying specific grant opportunities and potential grantors. In addition the GAM will maintain a calendar for the timeline of each grant including reporting dates and deliverables. Grants management work will be performed under the supervision of the COIA.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains calendar of report dates, deliverables, and reporting requirements for existing and new grants
  • Provides administrative support for grants process from research through receipt of grant, and management and reporting thereafter
  • Documents and maintains file of all grant reports
  • Ensures that all documentation is available when reporting on existing or seeking new grants
  • Researches potential grantors
  • Manages portfolio of grants prospects
  • Ensures that the COIA receives timely reports relative to grants management
  • Such other duties as may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS in management, nonprofit management, business or related discipline preferred. In rare circumstances, experience may be substituted for education requirement. At least two years nonprofit management experience, preferably in grants development/management preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  This position requires limited travel, ability to drive a car, is physically demanding requiring the ability to walk unaided up and down hills and over uneven terrain; bend, stoop, reach above head; fine and gross motor skills, and work in close quarters. The employee must have normal visual acuity at near and far distance with correction and hear spoken word with correction. Must be fluent in English. While performing the duties of this position, employee is required sit and work at a computer. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, touch objects, tools or controls and to talk fluently. The employee must occasionally lift or move heavy objects.
