ABOUT US

Health In Harmony is a nonprofit organization working to reverse deforestation of tropical rainforests as

a solution to global heating, nature's collapse, and social injustice. It does this by partnering with Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities in and around Earth's climate-critical tropical rainforests, because they are the experts in knowing how to mitigate internal pressures (e.g., impoverishment) and external pressures (e.g., commodity and market driven) that catalyse rainforest loss.

Health In Harmony started working in Indonesia in 2007, and in 2019 it expanded to Brazil and
Madagascar. Since 2007 in Indonesian Borneo, with a population of ~100,000 people, Health In Harmony's Radical Listening™approach has reduced the number of households reliant on logging for their livelihood by 90%, helped reduce infant mortality by 67% in our hospital's catchment population, and averted the loss of $65 million worth of above-ground carbon.
