Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy is looking for an exceptionally organized and highly-motivated full-time Foundation Administrator to join our growing team. The Foundation Administrator will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise for ACGT’s Raiser’s Edge NXT donor database management, reporting and analytics. The Foundation Administrator will work with the entire ACGT staff to measure the impact of our fundraising and outreach efforts through analytics, ensure data integrity and help identify new funding resources. Responsibilities include development database management and reporting, fundraising data analysis, donor research, gift processing, reconciliation and grants database management. The Foundation Administrator will also provide administrative support, assist with office management, donor correspondence, scheduling, and other related administrative duties.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Specifically, the Foundation Administrator will:

 

  • Be responsible for donor data accuracy, including inputting, updating, maintaining, and retrieving donation and constituent data, reports and records using Raiser’s Edge NXT by Blackbaud.
  • Manage ongoing daily and weekly gift reports and bi-monthly executive budget tracking reports.
  • Process financial and in-kind contributions for submission to the Finance Department and manage monthly reconciliation of donations.
  • Process donor and constituent campaigns and mailings and research prospective donors using Blackbaud ResearchPoint.
  • Maintain foundation files; help plan, coordinate and implement and maintain donor reports, income and expense budgets for various internal and external events including staff gatherings, scientific symposiums, supporter receptions and galas.
  • Prepare and proof accurate, timely and personalized donation acknowledgement letters.
  • Organize information and materials for meetings, reports, events and special projects.
  • Provide general bookkeeping assistance, to include processing invoices for payment and keeping updated invoice logs for the Finance Department.
  • Coordinate and execute in-house mailing campaigns.
  • Manage grant logs, grants payment timelines and general grant support.
  • Carry out other projects as necessary as directed by the CEO and/or Development staff.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following education and professional qualifications:

 

  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • Three to four years relevant and proven work experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge NXT and ResearchPoint required.
  • Extensive knowledge of and capabilities using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working in fundraising, marketing, non-profit administration, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Experience with syncing data between unique platforms, including Classy.org preferred.
  • Ability to understand needs of fundraisers and communication and translate to data.
  • Strong research, analytical, and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, prioritize tasks, demonstrate a high degree of initiative, and adhere to deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as be a team player.
  • Strong eye for detail: Ability to prepare and proofread materials, correspondence, proposals for submission.
  • Ability to anticipate and satisfy internal (staff, Board, Scientific Advisory Council) and external (donor, grantee) needs.
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to think outside of the box to effectively solve problems.
  • Polished, professional and comfortable liaising with VIPs.
  • Highly self-aware, energetic, and enthusiastic individual with impeccable integrity.

 

The position is based in Stamford, Connecticut.
