Executive Director

Christians Concerned, a non-profit food distribution center based in Duncan, Oklahoma, is seeking an Executive Director to oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate volunteers, work with the Board of Directors, attend public events, and oversee the annual budget. The organization partners with religious organizations to carry out its mission of feeding the hungry and food-insecure members of the community.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the food distribution center
• Coordinate and manage volunteers, ensuring that they have the resources they need to carry out their roles
• Work with the Board of Directors to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with the mission of the organization
• Attend public events to promote the agency and build relationships with community members and partners
• Write grants and manage relationships with funders to ensure the financial stability of the organization
• Manage an annual budget and ensure that resources are used effectively and efficiently
• Ensure that the organization is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations
• Maintain basic computer skills and use technology to improve the organization's efficiency

Requirements:

• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with non-profit management is a plus but not required
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and be bondable
• Ability to work 30 hours per week, 9-3 Monday through Friday, closed on holidays and inclement weather days
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for the mission of the organization and commitment to helping those in need
