Description

The Adolescent Redemption Project is a not-for-profit organization created with the specific intention of ending the over-incarceration of adolescence. Currently in transition, we are seeking an Executive Director to guide us through it. The Executive Director is responsible for fiscal grant management, operational oversight, public relations, and community outreach. Applicants should have the following:

· Capacity to address the internal and external needs of a multi-operational not for profit 501(c3) and (c4)

· A strong tolerance for administrative operating

· Recruit pro bono personnel to lead them in promotion of the organization’s most critical campaigns

· Basic understanding of the laws that govern nonprofits and some experience on a non-profit

This is a pro bono position with the opportunity to be paid if you’re effective at fundraising. This is a unique opportunity for the right person to lead an organization with a uniquely valuable contribution to society, perhaps in the most favorable political climate in Michigan’s history. It has great bones (we have both a 501(c)3 & 501(c)4, with social media for both, with a podcast, and programs already in books and on paper) as well as:

· An inspiring trajectory- 10 out of 11 candidates we supported in the 2020 election winning Unique programs – We were founded by prisoners, which puts us in touch with the needs of serving prisoners

· We get involved legally, who have filed a brief in the MSC People v Poole case, so we get involved Legally as well as doing standard advocacy work

· Our unique "Campaign for Redemption through Rehabilitation. We require ALL our inmates to accept responsibility for their actions and prove their rehabilitation.

· We have a social community the TARP Village, where inmates, family members, lawyers and interested parties meet monthly to discuss issues and express themselves.

· We advocate for a very specific part of the prison population, adolescent offenders, so our views are backed by rock solid brain science, recently solidified by medical advancements like the fMRI and studies on the Neurobiology.

· We take a stand and pick individual inmates to sponsor. That unrivalled part of our advocacy includes putting them in our books, on our podcasts and featuring them interactively in our community outreach, and parole preparation. The responsibility you take will follow another person’s vision, which means the path comes directly from those seeking to benefit the most from the organization’s success. That’s real Advocacy. All we need now is your leadership to guide us. Please attach a cover letter to your resume and submit it to KyleRobinsonTarp@gmail.com
