Description

The Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF)—the world’s leading think tank for science and technology policy—seeks a director for its Center for Clean Energy Innovation (CCEI). The lion’s share of climate advocacy and policy largely ignores or even denies the critical need for cost-reducing and performance-enhancing clean energy innovation. ITIF does not. CCEI’s core mission is to develop and advocate for creative and effective public policies to advance climate innovation in the United States and around the world.

The successful candidate will lead the Center’s team of analysts pursuing this mission and conduct a research and outreach program of their own. The director will work with ITIF’s president and the CCEI staff to define and manage the Center’s research and outreach agenda, raise funds to support its work from foundations, author and present analysis in multiple formats, and participate actively in the climate and energy policy and advocacy community in Washington, D.C., and beyond.

The director must be passionate about the critical need for innovation policy to address climate challenges and be prepared for a leadership role in a fast-paced, high-powered think-tank.
