Baby Steps empowers college students at Auburn University to have their education and their babies by providing housing, support, and community. 

What we are looking for: 

A mission focused, results-driven individual with an intrinsic drive to succeed and serve Baby Steps as Director of Development. This position strengthens and deepens relationships with donors and community partners to achieve planned revenue goals while actively seeking to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward new partners, including individuals, foundations, and corporations. The Director of Development is responsible for the organization’s fundraising and donor marketing initiatives, alongside the Baby Steps team. He/she will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing:

• a strategic approach to donor marketing that raises the organization’s profile, communicates Baby Steps’ mission’s impact with stakeholders, and grows referral relationships 
• fundraising events that require delegating responsibilities and demonstrated teamwork with co-workers

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of development with a demonstrable successful track record in development, consultative sales, or related experience, as well as a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
