We have three locations to serve our communities: the historic Erika J. Glazer Family Campus in Wilshire Center/Koreatown, our modern Audrey and Sydney Irmas Campus in West Los Angeles, and our inviting Resnick Campus in Brentwood.

About The Role:

We are seeking a talented data processing specialist to provide support for the maintenance of our various data systems. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for assisting with the migration of data between or among systems, standardizing the formatting of data, and auditing data records for accuracy and completeness.

To be successful as a data processing specialist, you should have a remarkable eye for detail, a meticulous approach to collecting and processing information, and work methodically to ensure accurate and complete data in information systems.

This position reports to the Information Systems Director and is currently 100% work-from-home.  Candidates must be legal residents of California and it is strongly preferred that candidates reside in or near the Koreatown district of Los Angeles.  Candidates will need to come onsite to pick up office equipment after hire and attend all-staff events once or twice every calendar year.

Compensation $18 – $21/hr DOE.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage data, including data loading/importing, validation, and routine analysis.
  • Extract, aggregate, and clean/standardize data from databases or various software applications.
  • Regularly transfer data from spreadsheets, web forms, or integrated third party applications to centralized databases, cloud-based storage platforms, or other software applications used in operational processes.
  • Perform regular data integrity and quality audits.
  • Troubleshoot issues with inconsistent data collection or entry procedures
  • Design or audit data collection forms online and in hard copy to support or align with healthy data storage practices
  • May be asked to help create or prepare reports for colleagues or management
  • May be asked to write documentation or train staff on processes for data entry and retrieval

  • 2 or more years of experience working for a nonprofit preferred
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with overlapping timeframes through to completion
  • Must have unrestricted access during working hours to a stable cable or fiber internet connection.
  • Must reside in comfortable commuting distance of mid-Wilshire/Koreatown district of Los Angeles.

Technical Skill Requirements

  • Experience auditing, cleaning, and standardizing data in Microsoft Excel, MOS Excel Expert certification preferred. This skill will be assessed during the interview process.
  • Experience with data entry in Raiser’s Edge database view.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • 6 months or more of experience working with Importacular and Chimpegration preferred
  • Familiarity with Blackbaud Education Management, Finalsite, and School Admin preferred
  • Desire or experience designing and executing ETL processes in SQL or Python a plus
