The Role:

The Compliance Specialist will be an integral part of Tides’ Compliance team, with responsibilities related to the development and maintenance of policies and procedures, the implementation of Tides’ enterprise risk management program, and ensuring that compliance inquiries are addressed in an effective and efficient manner.  Reporting to the Director of Compliance, the Compliance Specialist will be primarily responsible for working cross-departmentally to create and manage policies that are accessible to all, acting as a primary point of contact for inquiries related to Tides Network’s compliance operations, and supporting administration of Tides’ annual risk assessment and monitoring process.

What you will do:

  • Create, update, maintain, and operationalize governance and other policies applicable to Tides nonprofit entities.
  • Serve as the point of contact for Tides Network operational staff, answering questions about compliance matters and responding to training requests.
  • Provide administrative support for Tides’ periodic risk assessment process, including by collecting data from accountable leads and integrating into reporting frameworks.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of a compliance calendar related to enterprise risk management process, policy review and administration, and other compliance matters.
  • Other duties to support the compliance function as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of related work experience
  • At least three (3) years of compliance related work experience.  Experience in a nonprofit a plus[SJ1]
  • Experience with drafting, updating, and operationalizing policies and procedures
  • Experience with developing and maintaining reporting systems procedures and practices

Salary Range

Tides is committed to providing a competitive compensation package. The starting salary for this role ranges from $58,507 to $87,720 based on geographic location, years of experience, and ensuring pay equity within the organization. Important Information

Any Tides Network employee who wishes to use the office or travel to the office must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and boosted.
