REPORTS TO:  Executive Director

TYPE OF POSITION: Full-time, salaried. Typically, Monday through Thursday with occasional Friday, evenings, or weekends for meetings and/or special events.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Community Outreach Manager, in collaboration with the Executive Director and other Love INC staff, supports the Love INC mission by building trust within the community and by developing opportunities to connect Christian volunteers to individuals served within Sheboygan County. The Manager oversees the operations of the call center (Connection Center) by monitoring the intake process and understanding the needs in the community. This position identifies existing and new needs in order to coordinate efforts to create support structures that fill these gaps. In order to accomplish these duties, the Manager maintains and develops ongoing relationships with local Christian churches.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Connection Center: Oversee the management of the call center and intake process by providing training and support, including:

  • Support the organization’s immediate and long-term strategy to assist individuals in Sheboygan County who struggle with life’s challenges.
  • Recruit and train volunteers who will support Love INC programming at all levels within the organization.
  • Manage the daily aspects of the call center by assigning volunteers to various tasks and by discerning how to develop relationships with the individuals served.
  • Develop and implement evaluation tools to elicit feedback from clients and volunteers in order to identify how Love INC can better serve and support all partner church ministries.
  • Prepare status reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) as specified by the Executive Director and Board.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to identify new program opportunities based on data collected within the Connection Center.
  • Attend staff meetings and perform other duties that support the Love INC mission as needed.

Church Relationships: Develop and sustain church partnerships by understanding the individual and collective needs, including:

  • Conduct outreach initiatives to expand volunteerism within the local churches.
  • Facilitate meetings and develop ongoing relationships with partner churches by recruiting and training volunteers to serve as Love INC representatives.
  • Determine how to best fulfill any unmet needs within the community by coordination of the Gap Ministry programs through partner churches and ensure that programs are functioning well.
  • Promote awareness of Love INC’s mission and process.
  • Develop and implement processes, forms, and record-keeping systems to ensure that staff and volunteers are oriented, trained, and equipped.
  • Lead devotions and prayers as needed.
  • Accomplish organizational goals as determined with the Executive Director and Board in order to explore opportunities to expand and add value to the overall ministry.
  • Participate in Love INC and community events throughout the year as deemed appropriate for role.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agreement with the Apostles’ Creed.
  • Comfortable working and praying with Christians from different denominations.
  • Skilled in presenting to small and large groups.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and cooperatively.
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Skilled in recruiting, networking, building relationships, and building teams.
  • Willingness to adjust hours to accommodate the needs of the job.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, including the ability to work with people from different backgrounds.
  • Experience working in a collaborative organization with various internal and external stakeholders, balancing competing demands for time and priorities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office. Willingness to learn new database system, CoolFocus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, social work, or business administration preferred.

SALARY & BENEFITS:

  • $42,000-$48,000/year based on education and experience
  • Progressive PTO based on years of service increasing to a maximum of 25 days
  • Paid holidays including week between Christmas and New Year’s
  • Bereavement and jury duty paid leave as well as option for unpaid extended leave of absence
