OUR MISSION:
The Common Ground Foundation (CGF) empowers & uplifts youth from high potential communities to become future leaders. Our specially curated mentoring programs focus on character development, political and social impact, health & wellness, technology, generational wealth, entrepreneurship/career exploration, creative expression, and leadership.
THE POSITION:
CGF is seeking to hire its first Chief Program Officer (CPO) at a pivotal moment of strategic decision-making and growth. Joining a small but mighty team, the CPO will supervise the program administrative team. Reporting to the Executive Director and serving as a key partner in organizational strategy and leadership, the CPO will work collaboratively with the CGF Program director, across the K-12 education and higher education fields to drive shared action and impact by:
- Evaluating systems to measure impact of current programs
- Developing a clear vision for CGF’s next phase of programmatic impact, evolving core activities and team processes to coherently achieve goals
- Creatively and entrepreneurially think, build, and leverage partnerships and resources to execute envisioned program activities alongside CGF’s programmatic and external relations leaders.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Oversee and supervise the ongoing execution, improvement, and development of CGF’s programs.
- Establish annual program goals, achievable objectives and with key results across programs based on data
- Develop a clear plan with the program director to execute programs and projects, including the articulation of timelines, progress milestones, and performance indicators
- Ensure coherence across program projects
- Develop program budget and monitor program budgets throughout the calendar year
- Support the acquisition and management of resources for programs, including shaping proposals and plans, reporting on progress against key metrics, and communicating with potential supporters as needed
- Develop a clear vision for how the program team will operate together with an eye toward quality, collaboration, innovation, efficiency, and equity.
- Prepare and present program report at CGF Board Meeting for board members
How To Apply
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in education or youth development roles.
- Experience working with youth in underserved communities.
- Proven leadership style of collaboration and team building.
- Experience with public speaking/ presenting.
- Excellent communication skills that comfortably adapt from donors to board members, to students
