Cardiac Arrest Survivor Alliance Program

The Cardiac Arrest Survivor Alliance™ (CASA), a program of the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation (SCAF), serves as a hub for individuals affected by cardiac arrest. CASA fosters an online community for survivors, loved ones and other caregivers, lay rescuers, and advocates. It offers peer support, information resources, and access to experts to help community members recover, re-engage, and thrive. CASA is funded by SCAF with generous support from the American Heart Association.

Job Opportunity: CASA Program Administrator

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Program Administrator to join our team. This individual will oversee the Cardiac Arrest Survivor Alliance program and report directly to the SCAF President & CEO. This part-time (~20 hours/week @$20/hr.) remote position will be available in April. The role could expand in the future to a full-time remote position.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Mastering the functionality of the online platform, including successful completion of related training courses
  • Managing the online community
  • Welcoming new members
  • Facilitating member communications and moderating user-generated content posts
  • Curating and updating CASA content to ensure accuracy and relevance
  • Coordinating and scheduling meetings and webinars
  • Periodically evaluating the CASA member database
  • Assisting with development of the CASA annual budget
  • Promoting the program to cardiac arrest survivors, their families, and others personally affected by cardiac arrest (e.g., lay rescuers)
  • Helping develop and execute a marketing plan targeted to hospital discharge teams (e.g., cardiologists, electrophysiologists, nurses, and social workers)
  • Developing key performance indicators and producing associated reports
  • Preparing periodic reports on program status, milestones, and challenges
  • Effectively executing the program to help support additional funding for CASA from industry and other prospects
  • Providing other support as needed.

Qualifications

We are seeking individuals with:

  • A passion for and alignment with SCAF’s mission, vision, and values
  • A Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree a plus)
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership aptitude
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Prior experience with administering web-based platforms a plus.
