About Prairieville Fire Company:
At Prairieville Fire Company, our mission is to protect lives, property, and the environment through fire suppression, emergency response, and proactive community safety initiatives.
This key role will help us maintain the highest safety standards across our operations and support our mission to protect both our personnel and the community we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update the department’s Health & Safety Manual, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Emergency Action Plans.
Analyze workplace incidents and near-misses, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure fireground and station-based health and safety protocols are documented, understood, and properly implemented.
Oversee and coordinate safety training programs, including online modules and in-person drills for fire suppression, EMS, and administrative staff.
Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of OSHA, NFPA standards, and Louisiana state fire regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based safety management tools.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining close coordination with command staff.
