Christian Direct Caregiver for adolescent boys boarding school

The residential staff is the backbone and blessing of the Teen Challenge program. It is

through these life-on-life relationships that residential staff is able to communicate wisdom, direction, hope, and

encouragement to our students. The relationship formed between staff and students provides a bridge of

communication that supports, sustains, and brings effectiveness to the counseling arena and program activities, and further creates an atmosphere of love and acceptance.

Position Responsibilities:

Supervision of Students

∙ Responsible for supervising students in a residential setting: this includes but is not limited to the following:

direct supervision of students (know where they are at all times), ensure their health, safety, care and

wellbeing. ∙ Adheres to the center’s policies and procedures found in the Staff Personnel Manual and

∙ Works to reach the goals of seeing effective spirit of ministry to students, appropriate and constant

communication with Program Supervisors, deepening relationships within and among the students, and

dignity, support, and encouragement to all staff and students.

∙ Works as team player: Provides co-staff with clear, articulate communication over recent events with students,

voices concerns, and takes initiative with input and directives.

∙ Maintains a level of cleanliness consistent with Teen Challenge standards in their personal areas.

∙ Participates in all programmed events and leads different programmed activities as appointed by the

Necessary Qualifications:

∙ A personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is displayed in work, deed, action, and is evident in day

to day interactions with students, staff, parents and the public.

∙ Respectfully submit and be loyal to constituted authority; A teachable spirit

∙ A specific calling to minister; Ability to lead and direct
