Job Summary

The Military Family Advisory Network (MFAN), a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team at a pivotal moment of growth.

MFAN is widely recognized for its data-informed, solutions-oriented approach and trusted relationships across sectors. Following the development of an ambitious 10-year vision, the organization is entering a new phase of strategic expansion—diversifying revenue, strengthening infrastructure, and deepening its national impact.

This role carries enterprise-level responsibility for financial decision-making, including oversight of capital allocation, investment strategy, and financial systems. The CFO will serve as a strategic and hands-on partner to the CEO and Board of Directors, leading MFAN’s financial strategy, operations, and long-term sustainability. This leader will bring deep nonprofit financial expertise and the ability to translate complex financial insights into clear, actionable guidance for a Board composed largely of corporate leaders.

This is a unique opportunity for a mission-driven financial leader who thrives in growth environments and is excited to build systems, guide investments, and help scale an organization with national influence.
