Description

JUMPSTART OHIO is a faith-based reentry program that begins during incarceration. Upon graduation from our inside program, we assist released graduates with job opportunities, housing referrals, and assistance to overcome other obstacles faced by returning citizens.
In partnership with CityLink Center, JUMPSTART now has a transitional house available in Cincinnati. The home will accommodate a total of eight biological women. While some will come directly from incarceration (after graduating from our inside program), others may come through referrals from our partner agencies.
We are seeking a Women’s House Manager who will live on-site in provided housing and be a daily support to residents and help them navigate challenges as they begin their new lives post incarceration. Please review below and contact us if you feel you would be a good fit for this position.
Women’s House Manager – Job Description
House Manager is required to live on site in provided housing
Position Summary
The House Manager serves as a trusted peer leader within the JUMPSTART community, helping create and maintain a safe, supportive, and structured living environment. This is a servant leadership role, focused not on authority, but on modeling integrity, responsibility, and spiritual maturity. The House Manager supports the day-to-day operation of the home, uplifts fellow residents, and helps foster personal and communal transformation.
Key Responsibilities
• Home Care & Cleanliness: Oversee (and participate in) the schedule for daily and weekly cleaning routines; maintain an organized, welcoming home. Conduct walk-throughs and manage inventory of supplies and household needs.
• Accountability & Structure: Model and reinforce house rules, curfews, and expectations; conduct drug screens (this is a sober living facility), room checks and report serious concerns to JUMPSTART staff.
• Resident Support: Welcome and orient new residents, ensure their space is ready, and help them adjust to house life. Assist in move-in/move-out procedures. Assure residents are aware of and understand all house rules.
• Spiritual Leadership: Live out godly character and moral integrity; remain sober and sexually pure; regularly attend and serve in a local church; recovery meetings (if drugs and or alcohol are in your story) and maintain a mentoring relationship. This role is mentor, guide, and leader, not a friend.
• Financial Responsibility: Manage personal finances responsibly; ensure resident program fees are collected and current; engage with financial coaching resources.
• Community Engagement: Fulfill all expectations related to meetings, church attendance, and service; encourage others in their recovery and spiritual growth.
