Description
Our client believes that the quality of their behavioral health care is a direct reflection of the health and vibrancy of their culture. As they expand their reach and evolve their services, they are seeking a visionary Vice President of People & Culture to serve as the architect of their workforce strategy.
This is not a traditional "HR operations" role. We are looking for a C-suite caliber leader who views Human Resources through the lens of business systems thinking; someone who can translate complex clinical missions into a high-performance people strategy that enables high-quality care at scale.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As the organization’s top HR executive, you will report directly to the CEO and serve as a critical strategic partner to the executive team. Your mandate is to move beyond execution and into the realm of organizational design, cultural transformation, and systemic innovation.
Key Pillars of the Role
- Strategic Visionary: Partner with the CEO to craft and execute a 3-5 year people strategy that aligns our human capital with our long-term clinical goals.
- Culture Architect: Lead a comprehensive culture transformation. You will assess our current landscape to build an environment rooted in psychological safety, belonging, and unwavering values alignment.
- Change Agent: Develop and implement a structured change-management methodology across the enterprise, identifying and coaching "change champions" to ensure organizational agility.
- Talent Strategist: From creating clinical retention programs to designing a modern performance management philosophy, you will ensure we are attracting, developing, and retaining the best minds in behavioral health.
- Operational Excellence: Modernize the HR function. You will assess the current team’s capabilities, lead necessary restructuring, and inject a values-focused approach into all compliance, compensation, and recruitment activities.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an inspirational leader who moves others to action through purpose and example. You should possess the rare ability to balance rigorous analytical decision-making with deep empathy.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive HR leadership, with a proven track record of operating at a C-suite or executive strategic level.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in HR, Business Administration, or Organizational Development is strongly preferred.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of full HR lifecycle functions, multi-site management, compensation strategy, and employment law. Additionally, we’re looking for candidates who have experience leading organizational change with structured management technology.
- Mindset: A "systems thinker" who can see the whole picture and understands how culture, compensation, and operations interact to create business value.
- Bilingual: Fluency in Spanish is a plus!
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
We believe in empowering our leaders with the autonomy to build, innovate, and solve. Rather than stepping into a maintenance role, you will immediately dive into high-impact projects designed to reshape our organizational DNA.
Here are a few of the transformative challenges you’ll lead:
- Championing Well-being: Architect a flagship Clinical Staff Retention & Burnout Prevention Program, directly impacting the lives of those who provide care to our community.
- Modernizing the Foundation: Execute a comprehensive Competitive Compensation Study and salary restructuring to ensure we remain the employer of choice in a competitive market.
- Defining the Future: Establish a Quarterly Talent Review system to identify high-potential leaders and secure our long-term succession pipeline.
- The Executive Blueprint: Conduct a deep-dive assessment of our current People operations to present your vision for team restructuring and L&D innovation directly to the CEO.
- Empowering Leadership: Design and deliver a modern Hiring Manager Training Program, leveling up our internal ability to identify and land top-tier talent.
Why Join Us?
This is a rare opportunity to take the helm of a mission-driven organization during a period of significant evolution. If you are a leader who thrives on "turnaround" energy and wants to build a culture that sets the standard for behavioral health nationwide, we invite you to lead the way.
