Description
This Managing Director will devise and execute an annual fundraising plan to personally generate $2,000,000 or more in membership revenues. It will secure transformational philanthropic gifts and investments that advance MPT’s highest strategic priorities. It will secure transformational philanthropic gifts and investments that advance MPT’s highest strategic priorities. This senior management position manages a focused portfolio of donors and prospects capable of making gifts or commitments of $100,000 or more. The candidate will create customized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies while partnering closely with the President and CEO, Vice President of Development, senior leaders, and key volunteers. Additionally, this position will track campaign results to reach annual goals and review campaign analytics in conjunction with the Managing Director of Major & Planned Giving to create or adjust annual fundraising plans.
Position Duties:
● Manage a strategically qualified portfolio of approximately 50 donors and prospects; identify, cultivate, solicit, close and steward six-figure+ commitments.
● Develop donor-centered funding opportunities, proposals, presentations, gift agreements, and individualized stewardship plans in collaboration with program and production partners.
● Serve as philanthropy strategist and liaison for the President and CEO, guiding targeted outreach, cultivation, and solicitation to develop close relationships with key stakeholders
● Serve as a staff liaison to MPT Foundation board committees and assist in recruitment of new board members.
● Partner with the Managing Director in leading the Major & Planned Giving team. Developing methods to strengthen the principal-gift pipeline, coordinate prospect assignments and transitions, and maintain timely, accurate donor records.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: Minimum Eight (8) years of experience in non-profit development, including direct fundraising experience and a proven track record of soliciting and closing major gifts of at least five-figures; with at least 3 years of supervisory experience leading a team in development.
Note: experience can be substituted for education on a year by year basis
