Position Profile

The Senior Content Manager will lead, develop, and execute compelling content strategies across all channels that showcase Blue Meridian Partners' work and engage partners in our mission to transform the lives of young people and families living in poverty. Reporting to the Senior Director, Brand Marketing, this role will create sophisticated marketing collateral and communications tools that effectively tell our story and support partnership development goals.

Primary Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Create and manage high-quality content across multiple mediums, including print, visual, and video, to effectively communicate Blue Meridian's investment approach, value-add, impact, and outcomes
  • Develop and edit brand marketing collateral, including presentations, videos, and data visualization
  • Develop compelling narratives that advance the mission, reflect strategic priorities, and spark inspiration
  • Bring creative leadership, balanced with strategic insight, into every stage of content development, from ideation to execution
  • Create and maintain editorial standards and visual guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in brand voice, messaging, and style across all content Write and edit partner-facing communications including newsletters and updates
  • Collaborate with investment, investor relations, and corporate communications teams to translate complex information into clear, engaging content with a high standard of excellence
  • Manage content production timelines across multiple projects and stakeholders, including outside vendors as needed
  • Maintain content management systems and digital asset libraries
  • Track content performance metrics and provide recommendations for optimization
  • Support special projects and high-visibility partner events with content development
  • Manage internal teams and projects, including oversight of staff, as needed.

 

Qualifications

Required

  • Alignment with Blue Meridian’s mission and core values.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a related field and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional production and editing skills with demonstrated ability to translate complex information into compelling narratives through a balance of visual design and written content
  • Excellent project management abilities and attention to detail
  • Experience developing content for institutional or high-net-worth audiences
  • Experience with design software, video editing software, and visual content creation
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a professional and genial demeanor and the ability to work with people with different backgrounds and experiences, and collaborate effectively across teams
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and work quality. This includes experience with AI tools for tasks such as research, content generation, data analysis, problem-solving, or workflow automation.
  • Understanding of AI capabilities and limitations, including the ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs, apply appropriate judgment when using AI assistance, and integrate AI tools effectively within their work processes.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to learn new software quickly
  • Willing to travel as needed

Preferred

  • Background in impact reporting or investment communications
  • Perspective from direct experience living or working in communities with significant low-income or otherwise disenfranchised people preferred
  • Proficiency in content management systems and digital platforms
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
  • Experience working in philanthropy, nonprofits and/or strategy consulting
  • Experience with Salesforce and SharePoint is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Asana or other similar project management software.

Hiring Salary

Blue Meridian Partners aims to provide a comprehensive and competitive total compensation package.

The hiring salary for this position is $131,000. In addition to the base salary, each member of Blue Meridian is eligible to receive a performance-based variable incentive bonus.
