Description
About Traveling With a Purpose (TAP)
Traveling With a Purpose (TAP) is a nonprofit organization that leads meaningful, community-based service trips. Our mission is to serve alongside trusted local partners in ways that are ethical, relationship-focused, and rooted in mutual respect.
We believe that service is not about “fixing” — it is about showing up, listening deeply, and partnering with communities to support goals they have already set for themselves. Our participants come from diverse backgrounds and are united by a shared desire to give their time and heart to something bigger than themselves.
Since our founding, TAP has led trips primarily to Jamaica, where we’ve built long-standing relationships with local children’s homes and community organizations. We are currently working to expand our reach and impact by identifying new locations that align with our mission and values.
TAP trips are open to adults and youth aged 12 and up, and each team member undergoes seven weeks of training before traveling to ensure we are prepared to serve with humility, cultural sensitivity, and care.
As a small but dedicated team, our current board members have recognized the need for additional support to help us grow. While we’ve focused our efforts on Jamaica over the years, we are now seeking to expand and explore new service locations. We’re hiring for this role to help us move forward with that goal. We are looking to identify new sites that align with our values and connect with volunteers who are ready to serve with purpose.

This is a part-time role (approximately 10 hours per week) that will support Traveling With a Purpose as we grow and strengthen our impact.
