Overview of Position
The Program Manager supports the effective operation and growth of The GreenHouse’s youth development programs, serving students from elementary through high school. This role focuses on program coordination, staff supervision, and hands-on implementation of academic, enrichment, and workforce readiness programming. The Program Manager ensures smooth daily operations, supports curriculum delivery, engages families and partners, and contributes to program evaluation and reporting. Successful candidates will bring passion, organization, and a commitment to student growth, equity, and holistic development. Core Responsibilities
Program Design & Implementation
- Coordinate and implement after-school academic and leadership programs for youth in grades K–12.
- Support curriculum development and adaptation to ensure engaging, skill-building experiences.
- Organize student participation in special projects, faith-based activities, and leadership opportunities.
Staff Supervision & Development
- Supervise and support a team of 5–10 staff and volunteers, primarily overseeing elementary, middle school, and high school programming.Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to staff.
- Assist with staff training and professional development aligned with program goals.
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.
Youth & Family Engagement
- Build strong relationships with students and families, supporting academic, social, and career pathways.
- Communicate regularly with school principals, teachers, and family members.
- Monitor student progress and provide mentorship and individualized support.
Partnerships & Compliance
- Maintain collaborative relationships with schools, community organizations, volunteers, and faith-based partners.
- Work closely with the Office Manager to plan and oversee community events, ensuring they align with program goals and foster meaningful engagement.
- Ensure program compliance with child safety protocols and applicable requirements.
Grant & Resource Support
- Provide program data and updates to support grant writing, reporting, and renewal processes.
- Assist with monitoring grant-funded activities to ensure compliance with deliverables and timelines.
- Contribute to budget planning and resource allocation as directed by senior leadership.
Data, Communication & Reporting
- Maintain accurate program records, CRM data, and reporting documents.
- Track enrollment, retention, satisfaction, and impact metrics.
- Prepare program updates and reports for leadership, funders, and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, youth development, social services, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in program management, youth development, and/or education (urban school setting preferred).
- Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Background or training in Special Education is a plus.
- Experience with grant reporting, compliance, or program evaluation preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish or Farsi highly desirable.
