POSITION TITLE: Partnership Development Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW

At LEAP Innovations, we believe personalized learning has the power to transform education. To accelerate that mission, we need a strong pipeline of school and district partners — and this role sits at the center of that effort.

The Partnership Development Manager is a  generalist support role focused on building and advancing the partnerships pipeline. You will research and qualify prospective partners, prepare team members for high-quality meetings, conduct initial discovery conversations, and develop materials that generate leads and drive engagement. Approximately 20% of your time will support broader marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness and partnership development.

LOCATION: Hybrid (Chicago, IL preferred)

SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - $85,000 plus commission incentive plan

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partnership Pipeline Development & Lead Generation (50%)

  • Research prospective school and district partners; identify and qualify opportunities based on defined criteria including geography, size, funding, and strategic fit
  • Maintain and update CRM records (HubSpot) to ensure pipeline data is accurate and current; track engagement history and next steps for all active prospects
  • Support pipeline reporting by monitoring key metrics and preparing regular status updates for leadership
  • Identify new channels and opportunities for lead generation, including conferences, directories, partner networks, and social media

Meeting Preparation & Discovery Support (30%)

  • Prepare meeting briefs and research packets for team members ahead of partner calls and presentations including background on the organization, key contacts, and talking points
  • Conduct initial discovery calls with prospective partners to introduce LEAP, understand their needs, and assess readiness and fit before handing off to senior team members
  • Draft follow-up communications and next-step summaries after meetings to keep prospective partners moving through the pipeline

Marketing Support (20%)

  • Develop and refresh presentation decks, one-pagers, case studies, and other collateral that support the partnership development and lead generation process
  • Create content for social media channels and outbound campaigns designed to generate awareness and inbound interest from prospective partners
  • Assist in executing marketing campaigns and maintaining a content calendar aligned with organizational priorities
  • Assist in the development of content for email campaigns, newsletters, social media, and the LEAP website
  • Design creative assets using Canva, PowerPoint, or Google Slides to support brand visibility and stakeholder engagement
  • Support the execution of external events and webinars
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure partnership materials are current, compelling, and aligned with LEAP's messaging and mission

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in partnership development, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Genuine commitment to LEAP's mission to empower educators and students through personalized learning and innovation
  • Strong research skills and the ability to identify, assess, and prioritize prospective partners based on defined criteria
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort representing LEAP in 1:1 introductory conversations with prospective partners
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) and comfort maintaining accurate records and pipeline data
  • Experience with social media platforms, email marketing tools (e.g., Constant Contact), and content management systems (e.g., Squarespace)
  • Proficiency with presentation tools including PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Canva
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented approach
