About MyRegistry

MyRegistry is the leading universal gift registry platform, powering millions of gift lists across weddings, babies, birthdays, nonprofits, and life’s most meaningful moments. Our nonprofit platform enables organizations to receive in-kind gifts, supplies, and wish-list items from donors, ensuring contributions go directly toward real, tangible needs.

We are seeking a mission-driven, results-oriented professional to scale our nonprofit business nationally, with a strong focus on sales, lead generation, onboarding, activation, and retention across multiple nonprofit verticals.

Role Overview

The Nonprofit Partnerships Specialist will own the end-to-end growth of MyRegistry’s nonprofit category, with a primary focus on sales, new organization acquisition, and onboarding nonprofits at scale.

This is a hands-on, performance-driven business development role requiring a strong hunter mentality. The ideal candidate has proven success identifying prospects, building pipeline, closing new partnerships, and converting organizations into active platform users.

While nonprofit experience is valuable, sales experience is essential. Candidates coming from fundraising, donor development, or nonprofit growth roles must also demonstrate measurable success in outbound prospecting, partnership conversion, and scaling new organization acquisition across multiple markets.

Success in this role will be measured by the ability to consistently bring new organizations onto the platform, activate usage quickly, and build repeatable systems for national growth.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & New Organization Acquisition

  • Identify, prospect, and onboard nonprofit organizations nationwide across key verticals:
    • Children & family services
    • Education & schools
    • Religious organizations
    • Healthcare & special needs
    • Animal welfare
    • Community & social services
  • Build and manage a consistent pipeline of qualified nonprofit leads
  • Execute scalable outbound campaigns across email, LinkedIn, associations, events, and partnerships
  • Run discovery calls, presentations, and follow-up sequences to convert prospects into active partners
  • Consistently meet or exceed new partner acquisition goals
  • Leverage nonprofit networks and referral channels to drive adoption at scale

Platform Onboarding & Activation

  • Ensure newly onboarded nonprofits launch successfully and begin using the platform quickly
  • Support organizations in creating and maintaining active gift lists
  • Guide partners to add relevant, high-quality items
  • Educate organizations on best practices for sharing lists with donors, chapters, and supporters
  • Drive activation beyond signup, focusing on real usage and outcomes
  • Develop repeatable onboarding and activation playbooks

Retention & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for nonprofit partners
  • Build long-term relationships to drive repeat usage and expansion
  • Gather insights and feedback to inform product and marketing improvements
  • Identify opportunities to grow accounts across additional programs, chapters, affiliates, and campaigns

Scale & Process Development

  • Build repeatable systems for prospecting, onboarding, activation, and expansion
  • Track and report on KPIs including:
    • New nonprofits onboarded
    • Pipeline volume and conversion rates
    • Number of gift lists created
    • Gift adds per organization
    • Retention and repeat usage across markets
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to support growth initiatives

What We Mean by Scaling (Example)

We are looking for candidates who understand how to scale programs nationally, not just manage one-off local relationships.

For example, at an organization like Make-A-Wish, scaling would mean:

  • Launching a pilot with a small group of regional chapters to validate impact and usage
  • Developing standardized toolkits, training materials, and messaging for chapters nationwide
  • Creating centralized onboarding and activation strategies local chapters can adopt easily
  • Partnering with national leadership while driving adoption at the chapter or affiliate level
  • Measuring success through consistent KPIs across regions
  • Expanding from a handful of chapters to dozens or hundreds through a repeatable framework

This role requires that same mindset: build once, validate, optimize, then scale nationally.

Required Qualifications

  • 4–6+ years of experience in sales, business development, partnerships, or nonprofit growth roles
  • Proven track record of closing new business and onboarding organizations at scale
  • Demonstrated success in:
    • Prospecting and lead generation
    • Pipeline management
    • Running discovery calls and presentations
    • Negotiating and closing partnerships
    • Meeting or exceeding acquisition goals
  • Experience scaling outreach across multiple markets, verticals, or territories
  • Strong understanding of nonprofit operations and decision-making structures
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and metrics-driven

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling into nonprofit organizations
  • Fundraising or donor development experience with clear ownership of growth results
  • Existing nonprofit network (local, regional, or national)
  • Experience with chapter-based or national nonprofit organizations
  • Experience with CRM tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Mailchimp, or Brevo
  • Experience building repeatable programs that expanded beyond a single market

Why This Role Matters

This role directly impacts MyRegistry’s mission and growth by helping nonprofit organizations nationwide receive exactly what they need, when they need it. You will play a key role in scaling a high-impact category that combines social good with sustainable national growth.

Important Note

This is not a passive relationship-management role. Success requires a candidate who can aggressively acquire, onboard, and scale new nonprofit organizations through a disciplined sales process.
