Position Overview
Encore Technology Group is seeking an Education Technology Specialist who is passionate about helping teachers and students succeed through the effective use of technology.
This role is ideal for a current or former educator who enjoys working with teachers, exploring innovative classroom solutions, and helping school districts improve teaching and learning outcomes. The Education Technology Specialist serves as a trusted resource to district leaders, instructional technology teams, and classroom educators by demonstrating educational technology solutions, providing training and support, and sharing best practices that drive student engagement.
The Education Technology Specialist also serves as a consultative sales professional, helping school districts identify solutions that support their instructional goals. Rather than traditional sales, this role focuses on building trusted relationships with educators, understanding classroom challenges, and matching schools with technology solutions that improve teaching and learning. Successful candidates will be comfortable having strategic conversations with district leaders, uncovering needs, and guiding schools through the evaluation and purchasing process.
The successful candidate will combine classroom experience with a passion for technology and professional learning. They will work closely with school districts across the Southeast to understand instructional goals, showcase effective technology integration strategies, and support educators as they implement new classroom solutions.
This position offers a unique opportunity for educators who want to remain connected to teaching and learning while expanding their impact beyond a single classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and build strong relationships with teachers, instructional coaches, media specialists, and district leadership teams.
- Facilitate new solutions in the supported school districts based on identified needs.
- Collaborate with district instructional teams to identify effective classroom and district-based technology solutions that improve teaching and student engagement.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to schools evaluating technology solutions.
- Gather feedback from educators and district leaders to help shape Encore’s education-focused offerings and services.
- Stay current on educational technology trends, instructional best practices, AI in education, digital learning initiatives, and classroom innovation.
- Support pilot programs, classroom implementations, and district technology rollouts.
- Participate in educational conferences, regional events, and district showcases.
- Work closely with Encore’s education team to ensure successful customer experiences from initial evaluation through implementation and ongoing support.
- Travel throughout the Southeast to support school districts, conduct demonstrations, and deliver professional learning opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience teaching in a K-12 environment.
- Passion for helping teachers and students succeed through technology.
- Experience integrating technology into classroom instruction.
- Strong presentation, training, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to build relationships with educators, instructional leaders, and district administrators.
- Comfortable learning and demonstrating new technology solutions.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
- Ability to travel throughout the Southeast region.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as an instructional technology coach, media specialist, curriculum specialist, digital learning specialist, or educational technology leader.
- Experience delivering professional development to adult learners.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education, Microsoft 365, interactive displays, learning management systems, and AI tools for education.
